This duster originally began as a solid black crochet piece with black netting. I hand-tied it with sinew, creating the striking black line pattern throughout the design. Using a reverse discharge dye technique, I removed the black from the crochet while keeping the netting deep black, then layered in liquid dyes in rich indigo blue and turquoise tones for its final look.
